Hi everyone, My name is Rick, 41 years old, I am from Louisville, Ky. In my younger years I owned several 2nd gen. camaro's, a 70, 70 1/2 RS, and a 71 RS/SS, I wish I would have had the hindsight to keep them all,(dont we all...lol), but back then you could find a nice one for a couple grand. Those days are long gone. I recently bought a 73 Z28(just a roller) for $2500, and I am in the process of putting it together.
I decided to go with a 010 casting 4 bolt main block, and built a 383 stroker, 400 turbo, headers and 3" exhaust, the car has a 10 bolt rear end with 456 gears now, but I plan on biulding a 12 bolt disc rear end with 411, or maybe even 373 gears. The car is very solid with minimal rust which is hard to find in Ky. I figure after body work, paint, and interior is done I should have about 12 grand in it,(before 12 bolt of course). Not to bad when I see 73 Z's going for twice that or more, any advice would be very much appreciated. I will post pics soon, cant wait to get her running. Happy New Year to you all, Rick

 

Welcome to the forums Rick. You will find that the prices for the 12 bolt have gone up as well over the years
