New from San Diego, but living in Seattle

Hello from freakin' cold Seattle...I just purchased my third Camaro last year. It's a standard 67 coupe that I have big plans for. My first car was a 79 Berlinetta that I bought from my father, and I've also owned a 79 Z28. But the 67 is my favorite car of all time...not the one I own, just in general. Which brings me to my plans. I'm sure I'm not the first person here to mention this, but my love of Camaros didn't really kick off until I saw the movie Better Off Dead back in high school. If I could own any one car in the world, that would be it. I still get teary-eyed when I see it parked in Dodger Stadium at the end of the movie. But since I'll never own that car, I bought a standard coupe from the original owner (she named him Clyde...LOL) and I'm converting "him" into the BOD Camaro. You'll have to forgive me all the "he's" and "him's" when Iwrite about the car...whenever I talk to the old owner, that's the only way she ever refers to the car, and it just stuck. Anyway...I've been picking the car's current owner's brain (nice guy - see: http://www.betteroffdeadcamaro.com) about all of the little details. I'm shooting for the LOOK, I don't need all of the exact components he has in the car today. I'm also not filthy rich, so this project is going to take some time. Clyde (had to keep the name out of respect for the lady who had owned him for forty years and was crying about selling him) has a black standard interior, so I'm buying the things I'll need to convert it to a deluxe red, starting with a deluxe rear seat. He's got a 350 with a 2 speed automatic. I'm basically going to start gathering the parts I'll need, and when I get the loan I'm taking out for the project sometime in December (gotta pay off some other debts first) I'll have the car disassembled and painted correctly. I've only ever worked on cars in a very limited capacity, so right now I'm just goin' through a ton of the old books and manuals and getting an idea of what everything is and how it works, which is why I'm here. I have someone to do all the mechanical work, but I'm planning on getting my hands dirty too. I'm also hoping to find some parts I may need here from other members. SO...I'm glad to be here. Here are a couple of pictures...a couple of Clyde as he looks today, and a couple of how he's going to look sooner rather than later.

OMG, that is without a doubt one of the FUNNIEST Star Wars animations EVER!
Thanks for the kind words. I can't wait to get the ball rollin'. Even though I've picked up some of the things I'll need to complete the look (lock rods, back seat, front vanity plate) I don't think I'll feel like I've officially started this whole project until I have the red deluxe PUI interior kit...even though my wallet is already telling me I've officially begun...LOL.
