New from Ohio.
Hey guys,
The name is Allyn..aka Liquid1. I am a 27 year old IT Administrator from Akron, Ohio. I just picked up a 1996 3.8 Camaro with 153k on it. It isn't in the best shape but with some TLC and $$ it will be like new.
I got a steal of a deal on her too...the 17 year old kid that had it before me beat the tar out of it so I have some work ahead of me. When I picked it up it needed a battery and wouldn't rev past 3500. After some quick diagnostics I figured out it had a clogged cat and cut a big hole in front of the cat for "testing" purposes. It's loud as hell now but it runs and drives.
There is also a small leak from the rear end and it shifts pretty rough. There is a whine from the rear too...I am hoping to swap a LSD rear end in sometime soon but I am not sure what my bolt up options are. After searching for a while I think that any Z28 4th gen rear will work fine but I will get to that later.
Anyway I am not sure which direction I will be taking her in yet...I already have another project in process so I will have to finish that first..but I just wanted to introduce myself to the board.
Thanks
Allyn
