Hi All. I want to introduce myself. My name is Mark Sanchez, I live in New Mexico and plan to be the new owner (4th owner overall) of a 1967 convertible, matching numbers (except the heads) convertible 327 4 speed.

I will be heading out to see the car a couple states over and will proceed to get it transported back.

Any tips on what to look for on the car while in person? Who to transport through? Any other pitfalls to avoid?

So far I have a ton of pics of the car. It has received a paint job, new top and interior. The body is clean, all original panels and everything else aside from the color change, top and interior. No rust, body lines are good with exception to a little flaring on the passenger to front quarter panel. The gap is very minimally off.

Also, what would one expect to pay for aforementioned car with the level of detail given?

Forgot in adding to your other post, hopefully you get the P-O-P and/or original Bill of Sale.
Hopefully the rocker panels are in excellent shape for these are the only support for the unibody in a convertible and reads like they are.
All accessories should be in good working order also. Good battery and cables also plus a refrigerator magnet all over the body and hopefully, it sticks ensuring no bondo.
Good luck
