new to the lt1
i've included pics....as far as i can tell it has short tube headers, duals with x-pipe cai with dual k&n filters...also when i bought it the water pump was leaking...coming from the import scene i thought no big deal it's just a water pump..so i replaced it, at that time i did the fuel filter check the plugs and all seemed fine just regapped a few of them. also when i bought it there was a broken black valve on the passenger side coming up from the header that runs back down into the air pump...the threads broke off on the side of the hard line towards the rear of the engine...quick fix i fitted a 1' hose over the seperated ends and clamped it tight...i've got a dash light, was told it's the ses light..which makes sense cause it seems to run rich. i just want to get the bugs out and redo the whole top end...and yes i now know about the optispark which i should of done when i did the water pump...upgrade to the vented version right?.....any help or info yall could give me will help......eximporter bows head and wants all motor tire smoke
also it came with the hypertech programer...the #'s match up so i know it is the right one...but it does not come on when i press the up arrow...i know the 160 powerstat is there...cause it never goes above 160....i don't even know if it's programed stock or not...i'll call hypertech about that. and here are the pics
Ditch the Hyperjunk programming. Give Bryan at www.pcmforless.com a call. I paid $114 (incl. S&H) for a custom tune, and it is excellent. PCMFORLESS does excellent work. It's better than any tuning you'll ever get from Hyperjunk. You have nothing but a $300 fanswitch in your hand that won't work. Believe me. I owned one. I couldn't unload that thing fast enough.....
