Smile New KiD From PA

Hey everyone, i just recently got my first camaro! It is a 1997 RS. Ill get some pictures up as soon as i can but shes in the shop getting a new engine. Well its not new, it is coming out of a wrecked camaro out of the junkyard. Plan to ask lots of questions. I need to know everything i possibly can about this car.

Welcome man!

These are the best high maintenance cars you can buy, so if you treat them like high maintenance women and always buy them new stuff, they'll love you even when you're old and wrinkley.

At first all that i believed needed to be fixed was the headgaskets because i was getting antifreeze in my oil. So we started taking the engine apart and everything and then we found out that the heads were warped. My dads friend Dan had a GM mechanic come into see the car and he said that it wasnt worth to keep working on it and that we should just get a new engine all together. I got the car from my dads friend from work and he got it from a only dealers auction. Im geussing whoever had it before me was driving the car until it completely just stopped running. I also think it was overheating with the old owner to because when we opened the hood the thermostat was just sitting in there.
