Default new and i need some help.

My names craig. AKA Dog Face
I got me a 1978 camaro and i just moved to wilmington CA. i need some help. i want to practice my racing and stuff but i dont know any place in wilmington that i can open up my camaro on. if you guys can give me some adresses for abandoned air strips or even some race tracks i could use it. hit me up with the info. This is also my first camaro and to be honest i am not sure where to start. if you got any advice i would be happy as hell to take any advice. thus far that has been done to it has been cosmetic but i need some suggestions on what type of transmission is preffered to put with a 454 and what are some good performance parts to put in it. i have been saving up money and i got some cash to spend. any help will be good. thanks in advance.
