Default New here from AZ

Hi folks, I just recently came into a 1994 Camaro T-Top Z28 5.7L and wanted to introduce myself. It is a one owner car with 176k miles on it and roughly 50k on the replacement motor. I am still waiting to get the paperwork to find out if she did a direct replacement or not (I think she did, but she doesn't know much about cars and want to know for sure whats in there).

So far all that I know about the car is that it ha had some cooling system work done within the last 2 years (New rad, therm, and Low coolant sensor, which still isn't working properly). It does have a coolant leak somewhere, I could smell antifreeze when we drove it the other day to buy her new car, but it didn't get overly hot.

Cosmetically it needs a lot of work. It is the dark green paint and the clear coat is peeling off the spoiler, black area behind the T-Tops, and hood. The interior is rough and will probably need all new carpets and seat upholstery.

All that said I think I have a very good foundation here. No major problems with the car at all since she moved here to AZ with it 3 years ago and she was religious about its maintenance (of course done at some shop, so who knows).

My plans for the car: I will keep it stock for now until I am sure everything is mechanically sound. My first job is to track down that coolant leak. The from there, just a general check up and possible tune.

I will try and post some pictures tomorrow. I have been lingering over the site here for most of the day and found a lot of good information. Is there a section or thread here that i may have missed with common issues listed for the cars or anything like that?

Anyway, have a good one all!

what part of Az are you in? Look in the 4th gen section...you'll find what you need.

Thanks, I spent a little time in there yesterday prior to posting. I have a lot to learn about these cars so I am sure I will spend lots of time in there. Oh, I'm in Gilbert.

Hi Nice to meet you! I am from Arizona as well. I didn't get a 1994, I am more into the newer models so I purchases a 2013. I think Megan Fox might of had something to do with me wanting it lol
