The car came as built. A hot rod garage owner in Downers Grove did all the work, this was one of 6 cars he was tinkering around with. He purchased the car in North Riverside from the original owner. It started off as a base coupe. After purchasing all the parts, he did the mods. He enjoyed the car for a few years, and decided to let it go for his other projects that were gathering dust. I joked that I am only holding on to it until he buys it back in a few years. I still go to his shop if maintenance is needed, and I do not have time/knowledge to fix it.
As far as I know the headers came coated, I do know they are sold that way by flow tech.
