Default New Guy from southern Ohio with mutliple cars

Hello,

I am new here, I just bought my Second Camaro, a 95' Z28 Dark green with t-tops, tan leather, LT-1 with4L60 and 4.10 rear gear...Ibuild exhaust systems for a hobbyso my exhaust is pretty nasty sounding too...Goerlichs FX muffler with 2 1/2"mandrel tailpipes and Slash cut chrome tips 22" long. (No cats) I just bought the car and have not hadit to the track for a ET yet.
Besides the exhaust I just removed the airbag steering wheel(wheel wasbroken and egg shaped) So I replaced it with afamiliar Grant 3 spoke I like. I need to find the correct diode to wire in to get rid of the light on the dash though.
My first Camaro was a 1979 Z28 with 350 4bbl turbo 350 trans and a 3.42 rear gear....It was medium blue with a light blue interior and 84,000 miles on the clock.

I must admit I am not overly familiar with todaysCamaro's since I have been spending most of my time resto rodding my1969 Pontiac Firebird with a 406 Pontiac engine and 4 speed Muncie. Ithas been a long road with it but its pretty sweet overall...Its painted Chrysler 300 Gold with a black Balwin motion inspiredsingle stripe down the toppanels and a black tailpanel as well. It has aluminum heads and a 3.91 rear gear. I builtthat entire car myself. It can be seen at southern Ohio cruise ins and at tri-state dragway in Hamilton Ohio from time to time.
My other project I am building is a 1974 Monte Carlo with a Garrett T4-T67 FULL RACE Turbo set-up and tial wastegates and Blow off valve on the stock 350. Right now I have the turbo parts as well as a racepump piston mechanical fuel pump for it and the BG 575CFM blow through Turbo Carb. The Car is in Bodyshop purgatory at the moment being saved from the vynil top rust damage. It should be a hoot.

Lastly I also ride sportbikes....The only onethats kept my attention is my 1997 TL1000S Suzuki I bought it new and it has 25,000 miles on it. Lots of mods on it too.I letall my other bikes slip through my hands over the years and I dont really regret it.

I work for Valco Cincinnati Consumer ProductsInc. And we supply Speed Shops and Warehouses with high performance sealants and chemicalsand detail products for cars big trucks and motorcycles.

If any of you need any questions answered about Valco Chemicals Ido all the customer service and with all my projects I know all the products very well.

Wow, sounds like you stay busy. I bought my 1970 Camaro, in 1971....when it was almost new, so I haven't had to devote any time to restoration on it. I've just always maintained it. The only big repair on it was when I pulled the engine in 1984 to overhaul it.

I had tried to adjust the lifters and it wouldn't adjust right and I finally found a broken spring on the valve, so I decided to just redo the whole motor. Good thing too, because when I pulled the other valve cover off on the other side I found half the keeper gone off of the valve, and the other half sideways holding the valve up! (You don't get any closer than that to losing a engine!!!!) LoL

Anyway looks like we have a new source of knowledge on the board............WELCOME!

How do you post pictures here? If I can just browse my pictures and just add it then I can do it....But because I spend so much time messing around with the projects I have not progressed with my computer skills much.
My Bird and the Bike are on myspace...www.myspace.com/flynbrian32 The Camaro and the Monte Carlo has not made it into any pictures yet. I aquired both of the latter within the last year. The Bird is also on www.pontiaczone.com page 12 of PZGallery under "flynbrian" Both of those sites allow me to browse my own computer as long as the size is right.
