Default New guy, new 2nd gen owner!

I figured this was the place to be to learn all I can about my new car and the work I will be dumping in.

I was just gifted a 78 Z28 by previous owner! It has been modified and sitting for a while. that is all I know...and its red.... with good tires holding air, so it probably hasn't sat that long im guessing.

The good: FREE!

The bad....its 2200 miles away and i have to get it shipped.

see you guys soon!

my brother is a big car guy and he has already looked at it etc...he is towing it to his house or mechanic on Monday and check it out better.

Shipping is about $800. so its worth it. No rust being in a desert, paint looks "good". engine modified....dont know much....

Me too! I just learned that the hood will need to be replaced and more than likely the carb too. The rest of the details will come tomorrow including pics.

I'm thinking vacuum secondary 650 Holley....

thank you everyone!

Times are moving slow here. I only have a few more tid bits of info about the car from my brother. He supposed to be hauling the car to his house Tomorrow (Friday the 4th) and from there i will learn more about it.

The two front tires are flat but rears are still holding air and look "good". I don't doubt my brothers info at all, but rather that it has sat for so long and they still hold air...hmmm...maybe it hasnt sat all that long?!?!?

the overall condition of the car is great and it looks great he says.

I'll follow up with more info as I learn it!

Thanks!
