Default New Guy here from Texas

Hey Guys, I stumbled across this sight looking for car parts. It looked pretty cool, so I joined. I look forward to sharing info and learning too. I'm currently working on a 73 camaro that I missed out on the night it went for sale, but then 2 days later the guy called me back and said it was available because he wrecked it. So, not looking for another project, I bought it. Now I'm in aftermarket HELL, trying to build a new front clip for it out of after market parts. Makes you really appreciate original equipment. Heres a pic with a new front fender just sitting on it, and new wheels I picked up. Its actually a very clean car, 4 speed and AC. Just not crazy about the color since my last one I painted orange with white stripes......thats the one I regret selling. Live and learn right?

Welcome to the forum, looks like it's in good shape otherwise.

Welcome!
I'm still a newbie here and have found lots of good tech help to keep my 96 running.
Nice 73! You'll be glad you did (after aftermarket...).

Welcome! Like yourself I'm partial to early 2nd gens. Mine's at paint now, and I just finished installing a complete aftermarket front clip, so I know your woes. You have my condolences, as it's the worst thing I've ever dealt with on a car!
If I had it to do over I'd definitely try to straighten everything I could save, as the aftermarket stuff is all junk! Ill fitting, and so thin it bends just working on it. I've filled two dents that came from pushing on the parts, and I ended up drilling holes in my new hood at front center to weld extra metal inside so it wouldn't flex and dent just pushing on it to latch the hood!

Welcome agree with them all... How about you wipe your feet and step in the door and relax? Take a look around.

Heres a couple pics I took today, they're kind of dark. I set the hood on it just to see how it would look, and in the pics it looks nice, but after seeing how the hood fit.......I have a long way to go with adjusting and aligning.
