New Guy Checking in
Hi all, I figure I would check in here. Just recently bought an 81 Camaro that has had some slight modifications on it. Its my second Camaro with the 68 being the first one I bought and sold (regrettably) 6 years ago with basically the same setup. I finally got the go ahead from the wife to buy another so I waited until I could find a great deal..well at least I thought it was anyways.
So its got a 350 bored 5 over 671 Supercharger with twin holley 600's. 8.5:1 Compression T350 with 3500 stall 373 in the rear. Lots more obviously but has some work to do before getting back onto the street then eventually onto the track.
What I would like to do is get aluminum cylinder heads, beef up the suspension in the front and rear since its stock and worn out, redo the exhaust, once again its stock. Put a 411 or 454 in the rear havent really decided on that one yet and frame extenders so I dont twist the car into a pretzel.
Other than some gaskets leaking under the blower manifold and rear seal on the transmission and a new mystery sound that I think Ive nailed down its a great car and cant wait to get working on. Just need to win the poweball now.
My new ride.
Pics of the Big and Ugly.
Pic of my ride at work, Im a Flight Mechanic in the USCG.
