if you insist,
i'm 19 and i payed her $8000 for it

and i know the reactions i'm getting from everybody right now. everyone hates me. everyonethinks i'm a spoiled brat.i get that alot.
and i'm sorry. i'm not spoiled (well maybe a little bit i guess) but i'm very humble, i promise.

i do have a very nice mom, and am very happy she wanted to keep it in the family.

Idont hate you. I happy that your intrestedin older cars. and your not spoiled, your mom made you pay her for it so you earned it, and $8,000 was a fair price. now if she just gave it to you then ya you would be spoiled. Its nice to see more of the younger kids intrested in Amercian older cars instead of the newer cars. I got my sons into Amercian cars as well. one of my sons has 2 late model Camaro's and another one has a 72 Nova.
And you never said where your from

thanks for not seeing me as spoiled. to be fair that was ALL the money i had saved up after two years working. ihonestly had $100 in the bank after giving the rest to her, which i would have given her but i needed something to pay for gas. i wish more people saw it like you.

i've been raised around these cars, ever since i can remember. the camaro is what my mom brought me to kindergarden in and i've loved that car since then.
my dad drove a 3rd gen... either 71 or 72, i can't remember...cuda which is still sitting in our backyard. he's trying to get going good and looking goodagain (he promised to leave me that one in his will )
andhe's also got a 68charger in the garage, which he drove when i was younger too.... butthat car has seen better days.

Cool
Just keep them and give them to your kids when you have them. Love to see some pics of your dads cars also. The Mopar cars are going up in value every day, as will the Camaro. Just remember any changes you make to the Camaro keep everything you take off so it can be put back to org. if need be

Wow, I mean, really...That is a *****in camaro. You are lucky to have such a generous mother. The only thing that I want to say and I know what this is gonna sound like but whatevs... Just don't do something stupid and wrap it around a tree or a telephone pole or try to straighten any corners with it... Keep it rubber side down and TAKE CARE OF IT... Oh yeah...Don't let your boyfriend drive it either.... I know what I would do if I were that guy...

I am officially stepping off my soapbox.

Really nice car though...You are lucky...

I agree with firebird69racer, it is good awesome that you have an interest in the classics. And you are one of very few that now own the car they were driven to kindergarten in, that must feel really good, I bet that car has more sentimental value that anything. And to have a Cuda and Charger within reach, I am So jealous. It sounds like you appreciate the vehicles for what they are and a thing of beauty which is great, I hate seeing the old muscle car's chopped to hell, breaks my heart. A fair majority of younger people (not saying you fit in this category) don't appreciate anything and wreck it, but if you worked and could save $8,000 for a car in 2 years, you are way more mature than most, and it doesn't matter even if you were 16, you sounds like you have your head on straight.

Be careful of later Fuel injected gens if you go pink slipping too...

NOS's and some sort of forced injection will almost always equalize any big block advantage anyone has, so don't get cocky, especially with that being an auto...

Mine for example can romp on a LS2 GTO with some work done to it, and I leave em at the line and usually finish about five to seven lengths 1\4 mile.

But that's just cuz it's a TPI and my little sufferin camaro beat to hell workin for the man with a Stang for his alternate car...

sweet ride! Can't wait to get a 1967-9 camaro. Just do us a favor and don't wreck it (Im sure you won't) there is too few of these and they are going way up in value. You got a great deal!
