New to the forum, just got a 69 camaro.
Hello all,
Just got myself a 1969 camaro with no engine or trans but everything else is seems great. New floor panels, trunk panel is clean, no rust. New springs, disc brakes, poutercoted frame, andnew bushings.
Im looking to start with the engine and tranny so Im gonna need some advice. For an FYI, I do not look to race this thing out; it will be more of a weekend car.
Advice will be appreciated,
Thanks

Welcome to the forums. Get us some pictures of your ride. Also, there is a section for the 1st gen's here, go check it out. I would start by thinking about what you do want in the car. Do you want to be able to lay down some smoke or just kind of cruise the roads? That will determine the size motor.Do you like to shift the gears yourself or prefer an automatic? I am thinking a nice 327 or 350 would do and an automatic tranny. Depends on what you want though. There are alot of shops out there that offer crate motors and other companies that deal with trannys. Good luck.

Its definitely gonna be a cruiser. Im not trying to get crazy with the engine.
And yes, definitely an automatic. Im impatient with shifting gears. You think you can get a rough estimate for them type of engines. I know its bit much asking but Im just getting started.
