New to Camaro Forums
Hi.
I am not a stranger to forums like this butI am new to this one, if you want, come visit me at FullSizeChevy; I'm '96Scrat.
I only just recently aquired a Camaro.
Up until recently the only thing I drove was a 1996 Silverado with a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires. Then I decided to go to KU and needed something that got better than 11 mpg. I was looking for something like an old Honda or Subaru when opporotunity came knocking in the form of a Camaro.
I was able to get a great deal on a black 1994 base model Camaro with a V6 and 5 speed that had less than 100,000 miles on the clock. Granted it is a 15 year old car so it had some quirks; i.e. needed new battery cables, new power window motor, and some minor touch up cosmetically, but it runs like a champ. The guy I bought it from claimed that it got 23 mpg city and flirted with 30 on the highway so I bought it. How cool is it to drive a Camaro and still get good gas mileage.
So thats my story. Looking forward to hanging out with you guys on the forum.
