new '72 in WA
Well, for starters, I'm obviously a new member.
A bit about me:
I'm Murphy, Murph, or whatever you might decide to call me. I'm a mere 21 years old, and will soon be getting my first Chevy. I've been in th emilitary for 4 years, and may decide to retire at 20. I'm out in the Kitsap County area of WA.
The car:
1972 Camaro. I've actually ridden in this camaro my whole life. My dad is the person I'm buying it from. I remember being a little kid, head banging in the back seat to Iron Maiden, the car doing doughnuts behind Big Wheel in Tacoma. I've loved this car since my first memories, and have always vowed that I'll own it one day.
Unfortunately, My dad was in a motorcycle accident, which makes those weekend "work-on-the-car" sessions practically impossible.
She has sat...And sat...and sat...
He never let the tires get low and kept her tarped after the first two years.
But still she sat.
He recently was talking about trading it for a rat rod truck, but the deal didn't happen. We then had a long discussion about her and her future.
He has always known that I've wanted her, and with my new job, I'll be able to buy her from him.
Her floorboards are cooling racks for cookies, she has dents and dings, a cracked windshield and rust. A fiberglass firebird hood, but she'll shortly be in my name.
She has a mildly built 350 with double camel hump heads, flex-a-lite fan, turbo 400 short shaft with a stage 3 shift kit, 1981 Z28 suspension and rear end (non locking), '70 small spoiler that everyone seems to want, bumperettes, Herst pro matic shifter, poly bushings on the suspension, grant steering wheel, dual exhaust, etc.
