NEW 1969 Camaro owner...
Hey whats up guys, my name is Art and I'm still schoken to have foundthis site dedicated to only Camaros.
I'm only 18 years young, I recently purchased my 1969 Camaro x44. I can say I became a classic/muscle car aficionado at around 8, my pops will always pick me upfrom school with his 49 Suburban. It wasn't ti'lthis past year that Ireally got into the wholeCamaro legacy. I actually wanted to own aC.O.P.O 1969 but afterunderstanding the rarityof the car I definitely knew i wasn't going to be able to own one, despite the fact that its amazing/expensive car I wouldn't even want to risk getting kill for it. lol. I'm novice when it comes to restoring cars, but we all gotta learn somehow. I'm curretly attendingcsula got me a part time job and blow my paychecksweeklyat my local Classic Cars Industries (Huntington Beach). I was really saving my cash to purchase my neighbors 1997 Z28 Camaro but i came across the 1969 camaro a few days later on Craigslist. I drove to Bakersfield (about 120 miles) and brought me the camaro, 5kwasn't so bad for a decent shape 1969 camaro. Although I was a little devasted that it didn't come with the original v8 engine, it had a new 350 crate mounted on it. Very minor rust in quarterpanels.Needsomeone's to help to help me decode the tags on the car to make sure i fix it to it's whole originality. Just today I replaced the front drum brakes to disc brakes, took me a while but i sure did it right =)
I hope to hear from some of you guys soon.
Peace and prosperity

RE: NEW 1969 Camaro owner...
Hey Art, congrats on the 69, I have wanted one since I was pretty much born in 1969 and just got mine last year! I'm in the process of putting it back to the way it looks in my signature after a little carb fire. I also have a progress thread going in the 1st Gen Section called "Finally got a 69 and I stole it", check it out sometime. And, definately check out Orockers, the progress there is inspiring. Be sure to start your own progress post in the 1st Gen Section with lots of picture updates. And... Welcome to the Forum!!
