need advice
im looking at a 1994 z28 5.7 liter v8 camaro...the engine is clean it needs a new paint job but its not bad the interior is pretty good but has rips and it has 141,000 miles on it, the person is asking 4500 after he puts in the new a/c compressor what do we think about that price. its 6 speed and i went for a ride and it felt good. would you bye it?
That's a bit pricy for the work needed, search for one in good condition and compare prices, paint-from $1,000+, inerior-$1,000+, possible new engine in a few years...almost looking at $6,500. I do not know much of the depreciation on 4th gens though, so...If it feels good...do it.
I agree that it is a little pricy.I peresonally think you can find a better deal. But if you insist on getting it I would ask for previouse owners....see what shape it was in before that guy bought it....make sure it hasnt been hotrodded by them or this guy, because personally...i dont think a car thats been hot rodded is too reliable.Someone correct me if im wrong.
3800 is the high book for that car. www.kbb.com unless it has other options that you didnt mention. I would lowball it at first.
Here's a short list of the well known price-plummeting factors of an american car:
-More than 100,000 miles?
-Bad paint?
-Bad A/C?
This one has all three of these. I wouldn't give more than $2,500. Scratch that - I'd be $0.00 firm.
