Looking for my lost First Love. Daytona Yellow RS/SS L78 car. Chicago.
Hello,
I just signed up figuring this would be a good site to try and find one of my first cars. First off a little about me. I owned a lot of 1st and 2nd generation F-Body cars starting around 1974. My fist one was a 1968 RS/SS followed by a 1969 RS/SS Daytona Yellow L-78 car and it went on from there. The cars were cheap and plentiful and I was constantly buying, selling, trading, and parting them.I stopped counting the number of cars years ago but there were alot (hundreds). Not only Camaros, but Novas and Monte Carlos,Chevelles,GTO's,GS's,so on. Anyting with a GM trademark. In the early '80's I was primarily into street/drag racing. I had a '69 RS/SS Z-28 that suffered a flywheel explosion and then moved onto a '67RS/SS that I kept until I got busted street racing and decided that was enough. The Camaro went and I bought a docile '66 Chevelle SS396/325hp PG car which I still own today along with 4 more A-body cars. So now to get to my original reason for my post is to search. I sold the '69 RS/SS L-78 Daytona Yellow/Black Vinyl top. Standard interior car sometime 1976 to a guy named Jim? He worked for Sun Industries on the northwest side of Chicago. He was talking about moving or going to Arizona and then work on the car there. Any help or info. would greatly be appreciated. You can em me: kratebob@att.net. Just wondering if it's still out there. Thanks for reading. Bob
