How much do you know about cars? What are your goals with this car? These cars where design to last 5-8 years and they are 50 years old. Most had problems in the 70's, sometimes the problem where fixed properly and sometimes the issues where hidden. Most of these cars have been through half dozen restorations / paint jobs. Even restoration professionals have trouble spotting every issue with a lift and hours to check out a car.

I would suggest getting any car you are thinking about checked by a professional. These cars are not cheap and I have check out car that IMO where not safe to drive but owners has listed them in good condition. These cars do not have a frame like most older cars so the floor and roof make up the structure of the car. Also many of these cars you see on the road are wiring nightmares with repair on repairs and some even worse accessory add-ons. Most mechanic will not even want to touch one of these rats nests.
I would join a local Camaro club as well. And buy and or go to your local library for books om Camaros.Because alot of stuff on the net is is B.S.. And a numbers matching cars are not cheap. And are harder to find. Again like the gentlemen said before.Have a professional check them out. Because these car have lots of issues just because of what they are .and how they were built. They were supposed to last this long. And there are so called "clone" cars out there as well.Good luck to you.
