Hi, new to the site, joined to get info and help on purchasing a 1st gen! It has been my dream car since I was a teen. Now, I am not car savvy by any means, now the basics. I am looking at drive ready cars, really just want a well put together car on the inside, ie good engine and interior. Not neading a sexy paint job, yet. Just would like tips and what to look out for when searching on line. I live in Portland Or, if that helps. Thank you all who choose to help.

 

Do your research on any car your interested in. You want to make sure your getting what you pay for (#'s matching, SS, Z28, ect). Check floor pans, trunk, shock towers, body filler (use a magnet), frame rails. Take it to a mechanic before you buy if your not sure, but listen to his advise. Good luck in your hunt!
