Introduction
I have lurked on this site for awhile, and I figured that it was time to join the pack.
I have owned a fair amount of Camaros in the past, including a '69 Z/28 and a '70 SS396, and currently own a '71 RS. It is a numbers-matching 350/245 horse, th350, A/C, P/S car in Placer Gold (code 53) with a Sandlewood interior. The car was built in Van Nuys in the 2nd week of August, 1970 and has been a California car it's entire life. The car was the 3rd car off the line on the first day of production in Van Nuys. The VIN# number is 000003. The car needs a complete restoration, but is numbers matching front-to-back except for the starter and water pump. I have the correct date-coded parts standing by whenever I get the resto going. I currently have a few other projects in front of it ('55 Chevy truck, '64 Chevy truck), but plan on doing a complete rotissiere nut and bolt restoration to 100% factory.
It's great to be here, and I look forward to corresponding with my fellow Camaro amigos!
