ok my history

had 3 s10s

92 S15 street truck 2.5L auto
91 S10 i bought for parts 2.5L auto
88 S10 i made into a lowrider 2.5L 5 speed

and now a 1989 Cavalier Z24 2.8L 5 speed that im goin to trade for the IROC z

what you guys think of the camaro?
what should i do to it?

 

You could leave it as it sits for a while and enjoy the car. Find what you like and don't like about it and change the things that you don't like first. If the engine was done right there's no reason to touch it. If it handles a little off work on the suspension.

What types of gear in the rear and what's the transmission?

I know a lot of guys around here with really fast S-10's. Some running 6's in the 8th with no problem.

 

the motor has less then 35,000 on it...its a brand new Jasper engine. trans is a 700r4 with a shift kit and its got the borg warner full posi rear that the iroc came with...im not sure wat rear...i will check the RPO codes wen i get the car home...hopefully deal doesnt fall threw


and my S10s were all 4 bangers so i was lucky to run 17s hahah...i nvr raced at a track cuz i never had a truck fast enuf...my current 1989 Z24 runs low 15s...which is wat im goin to trade for the camaro....the camaro SHOULD run low 14s high 13s if i gues right

That is an awesome car! My friend had one, it was nice, but then he let some @#$%ss drive it and he wrecked it! Even hurt someone! Do it, just be carefull, and never let anyone drive it........

 

hahah i wont...im actually sellin mine AND MY GIRLFRIENDS guitars and amps and equipment to put up cash on the IROC along with my built Z24....

and no no1 is gna drive it cept my GF....and i BARELY trust her...but shes a good driver and she cn only drive wen im with her

i went and say it today...car is a ****ING beast..powerfull as hell.... damn i cant wat to get it

 

Good luck with the trade. Make sure it's top notch before you make the final decision. It would suck to get it and find out that it's a can of worms that'll give you a bunch of headaches.

 

ehh i looked at it...needs a few lil odds and ends..nothin major...gta tap a bolt hole in the left exhaust manifold or get anew one and get a truck latch.....nothing else really...car looks and runs really good...cept teh drivers door hangs a lil and the door skin and door are seperated a lil at the front..its a lil ****ed up but body is really straight...cept hood needs to b aligned....easy fix.....dont relaly need much tho....cnt wait to get it
