Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum and looking for some help. I have a 96’ Camaro RS which I bought about a month ago with 165K which I’m having some issue with.

When I’m driving the car for a while on the highway the rpm seems to stay at about 1500 and sometimes at 2000. It’s at normal rpm when I turn it on in the morning and any other time, but it does this when I seem to drive it for a while, any ideas?

I’m also thinking of cleaning the throttle body and EGR valve, is it difficult to do and is there anything I should watch out for?

and last, i'm also having trouble when I turn the car on in the morning. I have to try like 3 times before it turns on. The first tries it turns on but dies again immediately, any ideas?

Also, I put new ACdelco spark plugs and wires

Thanks in advance

any codes? cleaning the egr and tb isnt to bad hopefully your egr bolts arnt seized up. the rough start sounds like a weak fuel pump check your fuel pressure and report back with the prime pressure, idling pressure, and how long the pressure holds after you turn the car off.
