I am new and looking to buy a cheap maro
Try looking for a 1985-1987 IROC, or a 1991-1992 Z28. All of them can be had for reaosnable prices. If you wanted an LT1, which makes more power than either of them, spend about $4,500-$5,000 on a 1994-1995 model. I'd recommend the 1994-1995 models because they still have OBD1. You could also get a 1993, but because of the speed density setup, they don't respond as well to mods. And get a 6spd. The 4L60E automatic sucks.
I have a 94 3.4 V6 auto with t-tops and 117,500 mile many new parts on the car, the body is in real good condition for the age of the car. Im looking to sell it for 2500. And as far as the auto tranny i wouldnt say there junk, i can mash the gas at a dead stop and smoke the tires and ive never had a single problem from it.
welcome, good luck.
I fancy the 2nd and 3rd gen camaros.
Because the powertrain options are Vast, and can be had reasonable.
not to mention the cars are down right sexy
