Howdy from Ft. Worth Texas
Howdy, name's Powers, new around here just figured I'd drop by and tell a little about myself. Been in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for about a year now, I grew up in west Texas in the Abilene area and was a hardcore NISMO import fanatic since I got my first car at 16. That car, a '87 Nissan 200SX 3.0L V6, started my long painful run of scars, broken fingers, and lost blood for the last 8 years of being hell bent on working on my own vehicles. So please bear with me if I seem a little clueless...I really am when it comes to larger engines and over 250+ horsepower lol.
Finally moved to the city and got an oilfield job and made enough money to get the car I always wanted, a Camaro. Found a 2002 SLP Z28 with 111,000 miles finally for $900 down.
Yes I am paying too much for it ($12,500 financedyeah dont laugh) but I have crap credit so I had to dig it up at a 'tote-da-note' lot. She's a lovely ride, with a beautifully undamaged body and interior. All systems go from the bat except for stereo and A/C.
So far I have replaced the upper and lower track bars, sway bar bushings, rear main seal, and rear main plate seal, fuel pump, redtop optimus battery, and upgraded the tires from stock worn out wal-mart specials to Firestone WideOval Z rated tires.
It has the factory SLP visual package with body kit, SLP catback exhaust, and SLP Intake box (replaced with "carbon fiber" K&N cover and filter by previous owner.)
Visuals so far only consist of a steering wheel cover, Kenwood Excelon head unit with remote USB Mp4 dock in glove box, Alpine 400x1 mono Amp and all Kicker component speaks and 12" Kicker compC sub.
Photo's are listed over in the photo gallery take a look, let me know what yall think. Peace.
