Hi from Dubai
Hi all,
Just bought a 96 Z28, just over a week ago and it's great and it gets lots of attention too.
I love the car and I'm hoping it won't give me too much trouble.
It's a Japanese import and it's only done 45000 miles which is not so unusual as Japanese seem to take trains everywhere and don't drive much. Last couple of weeks I've been giving the car a good clean, it was a bit neglected, also ordering the parts to fix a few things.
Anyway, when I first moved to Dubai 3 years ago, I test drove a camaro, but ended up buying a Fiat Coupe turbo. I regretted that later as the Fiat cost me a fortune in parts and lately it's been at the mechanics more than on the road that dam car is on it's third turbo, and turbos are expensive. You certainly pay for the privilege of driving a rare car. My camaro seems more sensible by comparison - I also find the V8 is more fun to drive than a turbo car.

Thanks Craby, it's probably not what you think of being a Japanese import, but it started life in Japan. The Japanese do scrap good cars just because they have a few years - my camaro is great for her age.
