Default Hi

Hi all, Just joined and thought i'd leave a little note about myself! I live in England about thirty minutes drive west of London in a town called High Wycombe. I've always been into American Muscle cars, also being a mechanic, i recently bought my self a 1986 Chevy camaro its only a 2.8, but it needed some work so i thought it would be an ideal opportunity to buy a cheap camaro and get used to working on something different to what i was used to. Its going quite well but the car needed more work than i thought but thats older cars for you!!! I've rebuilt the top end of the engine, fitted new front brakes, welded the floor, fitted new metal brake lines front and rear, fitted stainless steel exhausts. I Bought some monster wheels and tyres off of ebay and had to extend the rear arches to fit over the wheels how ever now i have to replace the rear springs and shocks because the tyres rub on the arches over rough bumpy ground. But being in England its difficult to get hold of uprated parts like stiffer suspension so i hope the new V8 springs and shocks do the trick!!!!

I would watch out for ebay, people seem to think they are getting deals on ebay but they arent. Just be careful!

The front wheels are 15x8 running bf goodrich 265/50 the rears are 15x10 running br goodrich 295/50 might not be monster to you americans but over here most of the cars have 15x6 or 17x8 with lo profile tyres so to me they are monsters and i love em! had to extend the rear arches by two inches to fit them under!!

Default RE: Hi

thanks. thats an old pic. it has hoosier racing slicks and a dual quad carb setup now. it's a built 305 pushing right at 300 HP. i stop counting a $8000 it's probably close to 11 or 12 now. since i've got the carbs the way i want them guess it's time to order a hood scoop. for me ebay is the only way to go. i only do business with reputable sellers and i can shop without leaving the a/c LOL. i do some business with summit racing as well. but mostly ebay. sick
