Hey everyone!
Hey everyone! My name's Dan. I'm 23 years old and live in California. Just financed a vehicle. I got a 2001 Chevy Camaro V6 for $11,200 with 28,000 miles, and a manual 5-speed. It's my first Camaro ever owned, and first vehicle ever owned newer than 1992.
I just want to say right off that this vehicle is just awesome! I have the base model (nothing power) but I prefer to have the base model (less things to break over an extended period of time). It's pewter in color, with alloy wheels, chrome exhaust, black interior, Monsoon CD stereo, hatchback (no t-tops).
I got it for total $13,800, which included the extra 4 year/50,000 mile warranty, and 3 year warranty on the paint. Well worth it in my opinion!
Because of my bad credit history (when I was 18 I got a bunch of credit cards and acted carelessly), I got it financed for 60 months with 1800 down.
My insurance, for 2 vehicles (my other vehicle is a 1980 Ford F-100 Custom Stepside truck), is total $680 for 6 months, which isn't bad at all.
My car I sold was a 1992 Ford Festiva (real small car). My first sports car owned was a 1978 MGB convertible, but nothing compares to the Camaro.
I'm looking forward to being part of this forum! Glad to see tons of other people just like me with Camaros.
Talk to you all really soon! Take care!
