I went out looking for a Camaro community and stumbled upon this site, so how are you?
I own a 1989 RS, it was a stock 5.0 but when I went to have the engine rebuilt (after hitting 302k miles) I went ahead and sprang for the 5.7.
Just this past week I finally caved and started using 93 octane gas, and I'm glad I made the switch. The owner's manual says the engine can adjust its own timing to handle regular 87, so I'd always taken that as gospel I suppose and used it as an excuse to be cheap and save $4 a refill.
