Does anyone know anything about this? It's made from wood I believe. Is it used to make the mold? How many exist? Anything would be awesome and helpful. Just trying to find more out about this. Thanks.
In my opinion it is more likely a master, it is what they would compare the finish product to verify it matches original design intent. I would think the molds themselves would be steel since they needed to make a lot of parts each. Fiberglass is very abrasive and mold would need replaced/repaired. Last thing you would want is a mistake in a mold to be missed.
The part # 3949798 is for a 69 Camaro. Camaro is an F body. What I find interesting is the 2nd line that says 70F BODY. Maybe a modified 69 spoiler for the 70 model year?
