Default Hello, New to forum and working on cars.

Hello everyone, my soon to be wife and I recently bought a 1978 Camaro as a early wedding present to our selves (her idea). This is our first project car. We are hoping to learn mechanic skills and just have some fun. We could definitely use some knowledable hlep along the way and hope to find it here.

So far we have changed the oil. I am working on changing the spark pulgs. I need to flush the radiator (very dirty).

Welcome to the forums. Congrats on your wedding aswell. There are many, many pages of great info on here along with a lot of people to help answer any questions you two may have. I know I would be lost with out it. Please post pics when you can.

Hi Oldman9 and thanks. We will post pics as soon as we figure out how to up load them. Any suggestions on where to post questions about our '78, should I stick to the second gen area or post more general? What is the best way to use Camaro Forums?

welcome to the forum. in my opinion id stick to the second gen section for questions about your car. as far as checking out other threads i like the "new thread" button at the top of the page, its just a list of all the new posts no matter what section there in.

also the best way to upload pics is to use Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket just make sure you resize the pics to 640 or it will mess up the page settings.

Welcome to Camaro Forums P.B., and congrats on both new "acquisitions"!
Yeah, put your questions in the second gen section. Either the general subsection for run of the mill questions, or in one of the specific subsections as the subject matter fits.
For pics, upload yours to a hosting site, like photobucket for instance. Then copy and paste the "IMG" code here.

It's blue, what more can you say?
Back in 78, my now ex brother-in-law worked at a Chevy dealer, and I came this close to getting a new Camaro.
I loved that ultra marine blue when it came out, so much that I had my 69 Camaro convert. (shoulda kept) painted that color.
Didn't get the car, but did get the color!
