Just joined and decided to stop in and hey. Bought 99 Camaro and loving it.
Got 2 codes popped up. Had the codes checked and one is the egr valve and another is an o2 sensor. Regarding the egr valve, is it worth pulling it out and cleaning it or should I just get a new one?

Im trying to find where I wrote down the codes.... But I remember one stating the pintle position and the other was o2 sensor bank 1? Ill see if I can find the codes...

Nice car, welcome aboard. Im not sure but if you don't have inspections you might consider an EGR delete? im in process right now. At the same time EGR has its benefits so its user specific. I have no clue what to tell you about the O2... sorry... But we do have guys who can...
