Hello fellow Camaro fans
Hello everyone, just joined. My name is Tim and live in Wisconsin. Been a camaro owner for many years, the first one was an '86 Berlinetta. One of those cars you wish you had kept when you look back but sold it in order to buy our first house.
Now the owner of a '96 Camaro. I found this site because I'm looking for a solution to wiper arm problems. The hook at end of the wiper arm turns up, away from windshield instead of down, so I can't find replacement wipers and the blades don't rest in the windshield. The dealer here is clueless. I've found this topic mentioned once or twice on the site but can't find any real answers. Has anyone gotten past this issue?
It's going to give my wife an excuse to trade it in for a new one if I don't fix it soon .

Welcome to the forum. The wiper turning up is stock, there are replacement wipers, but none of the nice new blade style that I know of. And you're going to have to explain the "don't rest in the windshield" thing, don't quite understand that.

don't rest on the windshield
The wiper arm no longer provides enough downward force to keep all of the wiper blade resting on the windshield all the time. I know there are springs pulling down on those arms and I can try changing them but they don't seem to be the problem. Pushing down on the wiper arm itself does not force the rest of the blade onto the windshield. I would like to put on some blades that provide the extra downward force but I can't find any that fit the goofy "upturned hook" at the end of the wiper arm.
