I just registered here and thought I would say hello. I am here posting for my father, who is not very internet savvy. He has been thinking about buying a new z06 and he is considering selling his baby. The car is a mint 1983 z28 5 liter H.O. with approximately 50k original miles. He bought the car brand new and has been very happy with it every since. I have done a little bit of research and from what I understand, this is a pretty rare car to own. What might it be worth?

Welcome to the forum. Get your Dad to buy the Z06 and you take the Camaro. I would guess that the Camaro is worth around $6-7,000 or a bit more considering the mileage. But for rare, I don't know.

Not too rare. 62,650 were made. How many left is anyones guess. Its not as rare as, say, a 69 COPO. But I cant imagine there being more than half of them left. Value is really in the mind of the buyer, pictures would help get it appraised. Also if you are going to sell it I would suggest asking on these forums, that way the buyers is known here and we can all help get it back on the road.
