Wanted to say hello as i just joined. I bought my first camaro 3-31-08. Its a 1980 Z28 with matching numbers and a rather well kept interior/exterior. It has about 133k on it and im told has spent every winter of its North Idaho life in a garage. The tranny needs to be rebuilt but i think for now i will replace it with a 704 so i have overdrive. I also will be replacing the well worn exhaust system so i will be open for ideas there.

It a little information about myself, Im 43, Married to my best friend and high school sweetheart for going on 23 years. I have 3 kids 2 grown and 1 close. When i was car shopping i was thinking a bit more practical with the current gas prices. My son spotted this add and said hey dad look here. Well a phone call later we were in the driveway. The garage door was open and my eyes clouded over as to what was practical. I told the man his 3000.00 price was great i will take it. Never even drove it just heard it ran and felt 19 again. Well now its in my yard needs a bit more work then i planned but im looking forward to this project with my son. I will attach a picture i hope it works.

you have it all wrong Adam, first you buy a convertible classic cruiser like i did (56 bel air in pic)and then you buy a muscle car or make one and then you go racing ,or atleast that's what i'm doing in my mid life crisis,welcome to the forum
