Default Greetings from Corona, CA

Hello all;

I picked up a high mileage 91 RS (305) in very good condition. I bought it from a friend that I knew when he bought it. He took immaculate care of it, and I know everything hehas doneto it.

The idea was to use it as a beater for 6 months until my son gets his new car, but I'm liking it more and more.

He got to drive it last Friday, and it took a day for him to get the smile off his face. Now his friends all want a ride. Ah, to be 18 again...

But in less than a week it'sbecome my project car.

Wealready detailed the interior and even took apart the dash and consolefor a really thorough cleaning.

LED replacement lamps for the interior are on order.

Maybe I'll check out the fabric store for some Hawaiian print to replace the headliner. The red and black interior is nice but a bit stark for my tastes. Maybe some white and red hibiscus print will lighten it up a bit.

Next I'll give it a new coat of red paint. So CA summers are not kind to paint. It's a bit faded in the back deck and the clearcoat is delaminated. The nose paintis chipped by driving behind the occasional gravel truck. [:@]

First priority is looks, then maybe we'll pump up the mouse a little bit!

So...I've always likedCamaros, andhave plans...

This is a great forum; I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now. I'm looking forward to sharing information with you guys and gals.

Welcome to the forums marck. Sounds like a good find for a project. I'm just South of you in San Diego, and when you get your car repainted defineately get something light. I can tell you first hand experience that a dark blue car with black windows in so. cal during the summer is a real pain. Good luck with the project.

Welcome to the forums! I am not too far from you. I am out in Rancho Cucamonga. Good luck with fixing up your car. I have just started fixing up my recent acquisition as well.
