I just purchased my first Camaro, it's a 1994 3.4L V6. A very nice lady had it before me (First owner) and she let it sit for a little while. The car has 94k miles on it, and I'm not really a car guy, but I'm trying to get into it. Any tips what I should look for/change/fix right away? I was told I should changed the spark plugs and wires but it looks like its going to be hell getting to them, any tips for that? Thank you in advance

 

welcome i dont have a 3,4 ,but i hear they run another 100.000 ,if you think you cant get at them then have someone change them for you ,one owner sounds great ,like you said give it a good tune up ,personaly i would not take the chance of breaking a plug ,that good tune up $150.00 with cap wires plugs rotor ,the only thing abou those 3.4 is take good care of the engine ,couse there hard to find when compared to the 3.8

 

As suggested, take care of her.
Change oil and oil filter, air and gas filters, check brake pads, replace if needed, check for dry rot of tires, add washer fluid, check coolant and change, change belt. Check battery and replace if needed. There should be a round sticker on the side giving date of manf; ex: J3 = Sept 2013 or 2003 - physical condition will differentiate between 2003 & 2013.

As this route will get you a maintenance starting point

 

Thanks for replying. So far I have changed the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil change. I also got the coolant and transmission fluid flushed. The belt looks good (no cracks) and so does the battery. Next weekend or the one after I'll check the brake pads and rotors. The tires have some minor cracks so I'll end up getting those changed soon.


If you think there is anything I missed please let me know. I should have mentioned, this is not an everyday driver, I ride a motorcycle all year(SOCAL) but when it's rainy or cold I'll take the car to work.

 

Welcome to Camaro Forums. My first 4th gen was a 1994 3.4, was a nice car for what it was. There's nothing "special" mechanically you have to look for, treat it like any other car and inspect/service all the fluids and anything else that moves.
