Evidently I've been registered since 08 but never posted! I have a new 3rd gen project though so here goes! Found this on craigslist and with 2 little kids and plans for a 3rd at some point, time is limited on my '70 Skylark Convertible pro-touring build so this seemed to be a nice compromise for now. Long list of go-fast parts, only catch was coolant in the oil so I've yanked the engine for an overhaul. I did run it long enough to get on & off the trailer and into my garage and it ran real well (wicked idle with the CC305 cam). Prior owner had bought it about a year ago from the guy that built it, pulled the intake to fix an oil leak and then discovered coolant in the oil afterwards (thought he botched the intake job somehow?). Claims he drove it home about 2 hours from the guy he bought it from without issue so I'm banking on it not being anything catostrophic. He stopped messing with it at that point & had it at a buddy's shop who finally said it had to go. That was the story but was able to get in touch with the guy who originally built the car and owned it from '97 to 2010. He works for the State Dept. and actually took it to Germany w/ him for several years. It's an original 305 car so he added the Paxton while in Germany and eventually spun a bearing in the 305 at about 135mph on the autobohn. It was then replaced with a zz4 which he ran for a couple years before breaking a ring land after he was back in the states (car was his DD up to around 2002). He rebuilt the engine adding the forged pistons and comp cam and later added the miniram & heads. The nitrous was added and he popped a headgasket so he upgraded to a nice set of copper gaskets but then an oil leak developed and it began running rough when in closed loop mode (possible short or failed sensor?), and posi started showing signs of wear (ran ET Streets a lot & 315/35/17s) so it sat neglected for a couple years (he has a nice 72 Chevelle & Big Block 73 Camaro) until he decided it was time to sell. He claims mileage on engine as it sits is under 3500 miles w/ about 50 1/4 mile passes (nvr sprayed at the track). Trans & Converter, suspension & rebuild of Paxton have under 10K miles. C5 brake upgrade also under 3500 miles as that was the last mod he did. I suspect the guy I bought it from sprayed it & blew the headgasket again so it'll be getting a set of MLS head gaskets. Car has run as fast as 12.42 before upgraded impeller, however, found some detonation damage to one of the heads on cyl. 8 which I'm guessing is due to lack of proper tune as it only has an "off the shelf" TPIS Level 6 chip so I'll be upgrading to a DFI system as well. After spending a lot of time on thirdgen.org, I've discovered a bunch of guys running 11.8's to 12.20's with proper tunes and comparable head/cam combo's (without supercharger) so my main focus once it's back together is getting it properly tuned. Also putting in a T-56 I already had (already have crossmember & pedals). As always, what was supposed to be a quick head gasket job has turned into a big project, but I'm still way ahead of the game I think with all that's already done to the car.
Anyway, here's a run down of what it came with:

ZZ4 block bored .030 w/ TRW flat tops
Pro Topline 220cc 2.02/1.60 heads w/ ARP head studs
CC305 cam w/ 1.6 Harland Sharp rollers
TPIS mini ram w/ TPIS 58mm TB, 30# injectors & modified MAF (upgrading to 42# & speed density)
MSD Billet distributor w/ Paxton/MSD ignition box w/ boost control
Paxton SN2000 SC w/ Procharger intercooler (on waiting list for VR4 upgrade)
NEX 125 wet system (sold)
SLP 1 3/4 shorties into 3" gutted cat & 3" Hooker Aerochamber exhaust
Raptor 700R4 w/ Precision Industries 9.5" Vigilante 2800 convertor (sold, being replaced with a T-56)
Auburn Posi w/ 3.73s
GW Wonder Bar & Subframe Connectors
Hotchkis Swaybars, springs, rear control arms & adj panhard bar and strut tower brace
Front LCA's have Del-alum bushings
Koni adj struts/shocks front & rear
C5 front brakes w/ slotted & cross drilled rotors front & rear
Centerline Billet stars w/ 275/40/17 Mickey Drag radials on rear (for sale, want to upgrade to some 18" C5 deep dishes)

Tried posting pics but no option to upload so guess I'll post some photobucket links tonight (it's blocked here at work).
