Default Don't have a car yet, but...

Hey guys, I signed up a little while ago when I started searching for a Camaro in my area (Rochester NY) but I haven't made myself known yet. I'm trying to find out if it is possible for me to get a 98 Camaro SS for around $10,000. Any chance of this happening? I'm pretty flexible as far as miles go as long as the car was kept well. I would get a Z28 if the SS thing won't happen but I really love the SS hood on the Camaro, and in my opinion it would be a little ricey to swap a SS hood onto a Z28.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hmm a 98 SS for 10 grand? you could prob find one for that price with about 120k-140k miles. Same with the Z28. but i dont think it would be rice to put a SS hood on a Z28. It just wouldnt belong. good luck

well if you'd be willing to settle for a trans am ws6 there's one here in alabama with 80k on it for $8000. then you'd have and extra 2gs to come and get it and play with.

Hmm, ok I guess $10k was a little bit of a daydream. What do you guys think would be a realistic price range for a 98 SS with around 100-120k miles on it?

If its in really good condition $15,000. Maybe about $13,500 if its a standard trans.have you tried www.autotrader.com ?

thats way over book. I got my 98 TA for 9.5k with 70kmilesand it runs like a champ. the pontiacs were just the "luxury" version of the camaro. u paid a little more and got "creature comforts". really didnt ammount to much. but I could have gotten a z28 for 8k around here, ill be damned if i would spend an extra 7k for the SS package.

Well I just took a second look at Autotrader and I found <A HREF="http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...mp;cardist=200">this</A>

I believe this guy listed this as a Z28 but it appears to be an SS. Am I wrong?
