Default cramming a '70 350 into a '87 camaro

hi im new at this but i have a cheery '87 camaro that has a blown up small 6 in it, rather than rebuild that it would be more my style to rebuild a 350 i pulled out of a '70 truck and wedge it in there. it is going to take some time, money, and work, but i think we can pull it off. Normally i'm a truck guy so i'm just looking for any tips, comments, or ideas that anyone may have. I'm also considering buying a '85 delta for parts that i might need (springs, rear end, exhaust) Thanks and good to be here!

are they both carbed? depending on that u may need a v8 computer for a 87. also may need motor mounts. other than that i think it should be a fun switch. is it a manual or auto trans?

i have the mounts, and the 350's probably going to be topped with a 650 holly on a ported and polished manifold i've been working on. i pulled the 700r4 out with it which seems to be in good shape

a grand wont go far. make sure the bottom is done good. u can do the heads later. unless u think the heads are in bad shape. gaskets and machine shop work is gona eat up a grand. need to get the block cleaned and checked also crank checked and if needed turned. is it a 4 bolt main? what are u looking at doing? a nos setup? daily driver? u going to run at the track?

i was thinking about running it down the drag strip but i've been hearing it will never hook up with all the extra power. My response has been ill throw some wide tires on it and some tractor weights in the back! Anyway there's a shop that will clean the block and check it out for me, along with the heads and there's another guy here who will hot dip the block. After that i am going to shoot for some ware around 4 to 500 hundred horses weld in some frame connectors and hopefully win some cash
