Default Come one, come all!

Hi, some of you might have seen me around the forums a bit and I think now is the time to introduce myself.
My name is Stephen, I'm 18, and I am a full time college student in Arkansas. My parents own an automotive shop, my father is an auto-engineer(which can become quite handy when you're a car afficianado). I use to drive a 95 Mustang, but one of my friends backed out of a driveway while I was going by and crushed it. Poor car...

Anyways, that summer I had a choice among cars and I had just seen the Transformers movie. My mom use to own a 95 Camaro interceptor adition with t-tops that had been repainted maroon so it all started making sense. My sister drove a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, my at the time fiancee' drove a 2004 Grand Prix GTP(Originally a GT, but I put the supercharger on for her), my brother in law drove a 1987 GMC Jimmy, and my father was driving a 2000 Chevorlet Silverado 2500HD quad cab with the 6.0 in it. I figured it was time to conform and go to the GM side of my family(though my mom was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, she's in an 07 Tahoe now...so I'm proud of her). I found a black 97 Trans Am with 70k miles on it for $7k. At the time, I wasn't going to let my parents know, but it had twin turbos on it!!! T-tops and leather made this car heaven for me. So, I was going to get it. My dad, having to test drive everything I get and floor it...wasn't happy. He said I would kill myself. My mom was going to get it for me anyways(though I would be making payments). On the way back to the dealership, some jerk ran a red light and totalled the car. Imagine the shock. Everyone was fine, but his little Murcury Escort knock off killed one of the most beautiful cars I had ever seen. So, it was back to the drawing board. About a month later, a friend at the GM dealership called with news of a 2000 Camaro he just got in. I rushed to check it out. Sure enough, it was meant for me. 10' speaker in the back that hit like a 15', 1000 watt amp, true duals that sounded heavenly, ram air intake, K&N, headers, engine work(that we found out about when we tore it apart for a couple days at the shop)...it was my car. Best part, a trade in with my old wrecked Mustang made it avaliable to me for $7,000.00! Not a bad deal if I say so myself. Sure, it had 100k miles on it, but if anything went wrong I could just find another LS1 block to throw in there. I was happy with my car.

Since, I haven't had too many chances to wash it(which i'm going to do tomorrow), but I have taken care of it quite nicely. Don't get me wrong, I've floored it and taken it to the local 1/8th mile a few times with an amazing time of 7.25. It doesn't have a rev or speed limiter on it, and has been tuned nicely. We're thinking it has a good cam in it, but we haven't pulled it out to check yet. I've won against several T/As, and even though it's not quite as fast as the 97 was, I love it anyways. I oddly get 41 miles to the gallon on the highway with it, which is where I do all my driving. I've gotten it up to around 160 MPH before at a sanctioned race, and it was featured on the Hot Rod power tour in March I think(still has the decal on the window from it, I'd have to check). A 16.8 gallon tank, I haven't put gas into it since I went on break from college on the 12th and I'm currently at half a tank.

As for who I am, I'm just a cooky teenager who doesn't study as much as he should. I'm a music ed major at the University of Central Arkansas. I love videogames, movies, music, and Samurai. I also like making movies and writing music, which I plan on doing a lot of next semester. I collect swords, and have actually been pulled over with a katana in my backseat before when I had a breaklight out. It struck an interesting conv

I never left the stang feild, I just put out and got a IROC as part of the deal, similair to you Dad don't know, but that's fine it's my moolah and my car...

Though I have little to no love of the newer Camaro (gen before the one coming in 09 chill peeps) cuz it looks like a slip streamed turd...

For me the best body was the F-Body IROC, love it, always have, picked it up for 1,400 with 5.7 TPI wit T-5 Swap dealership no less...

And now I've got her rollin I'm working on restoring her enough to put to work.

Mustang is ET on the quarter 13.34, the Camaro has yet to make a run, and mostly runs par to it.

The Mustang is a 89 Foxbody 5.0 with fair amount of mods, the IROC is 89 5.7...
