Hi folks.

Recently joined this forum. Just picked up my first Camaro; a 1968 RS Convertible. I am somewhat embarresd to admit that I know next to nothing about these cars. So that means you'll probably see a lot of dumb questions from me.

Objective is to retain as much originality in the car as possible, but mostly to enjoy driving the it.

I look forward to reading the posts and I appologize in advance for the basic questions that will be coming your way.

Cheers!
Vic

Hi Vic...I'm new here too, but it seems like this forum doesn't have the kind of welcoming committee that many other forums have, so I decided to be the first to say HI and hope you enjoy your Camaro

Thanks mad_max.

I was getting worried there for a while....I was thinking I offended someone. Not a good way to start off...lol.

I'm picking up my car this week. Trailering it home Thursday/Friday...should be an interesting 16 hrs trip there and back.

Hi Vic and welcome aboard. I think it has to do with the new set up on the forum. It took me a few times till I found the new members threads. It's just not there when you 1st open the section......I know I was having a blond moment.

Well Vic come on over to the 1st gen section and ask away. I'm slowly building a 69. Soon to be driving it. Would love to see some pics of yours.

I know what you mean, Vic. I'm still waiting for my first "welcome", but I'm sure someone will get around to it eventually . 16 hours sounds like a long drive, but for a Camaro, especially the one you are getting, will definitely be worth it. I don't have to go nearly that far away, but I'm going up in the mountains near Sacramento, California on saturday to look at an 89 IROC that this guy is selling for $700. Anyway, good luck on your trip and be sure to post some pics of your new ride when you get it back home.

Thanks guys.

I do have some pics of the new Camaro, but I did not take them. In fact they are the ones that were used in the sales ad.
I'm sure many of the folks on the list will even recognize the car. It was on eBay for a while.

I'll fumble may way through the forum and try to post oneor two pics.

Anyway, thanks again.

Vic
