Advice/Input

I just bought a 96 Z28. Polo Green over tan leather interior. It's definitely a project car. I have a 95 3.4 same color that I wrecked a year ago, and I'm using parts from that one to fix this one up.
I mostly joined this forum so I could get tips and advice for this project from fellow Camaro owners out there.
My first question: brake calipers. The ones on the Z are red, and it looks like crap. I thought maybe yellow, but that might look too ricey. I don't think green would look good, and it would be tough to match anyway. Maybe black or silver? The car will have the typical 10-spoke OEM spiral alloys. What do you think?

Thanks for that. Ok, new question. Would it be possible to mate the 4-speed auto transmission from my 3.4 V6 to the LT1? The Z also has an auto, but I like the old transmission better.

Ok, time for an update...
We just switched the rear bumpers two days ago. I sold the seats for $250 for a guy to put in his '83 Z. I'm going to put the ones from the '95 in it. The upholstery is mostly trashed in the Z, but it's still in really nice shape in the other one, so we're going to switch. It's the same color, so we figured we might as well, as long as we have it at our disposal. We put the regular silver wheels on, and it looks way better. We took the bumper off the Z so we can get it sold. I'll try to post some pics once we get the other bumper on. I bought silver letter decals for the rear bumper. I had them on the '95, and it looked pretty sweet. I'm also considering a billet aluminum grille. I think it will tie in to the wheels and decals quite nicely.
