SO, I had just listed my Camaro on craigslist and started getting inquiries when a storm hit and a palm tree fell on my poor car. As it was, I did not want to sell it, but I had to- a bolt somewhere on the exhaust broke and I don't have the money to repair it. Now with the driver side half of the windshield and t-top being smashed, I don't have much of a chance of selling it. I may have to resort to junking it and i'd really rather not, so I'm turning here before I may end up resorting to that. I live in the La Puente, CA area (91746). highest a junkyard has offered is $200.

Problems: [LIST][*]tires need air or may need replacing[*]exhaust bolt is broken towards center of the car[*]fuse for the horn had to be taken out

The car has not been driven in a few months, but the battery is new (just got it two days before the tree incident)

hay sega welcome to the forum. you could get much more parting it out. tough part is you need a space to take it apart and store parts, next is the time it takes to post parts on ebay and or cl.

 

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the issue is that it is parked outside of a family member's home (I don't have somewhere to park it where I live) and they need it gone asap. I would part it out, but I don't have the space and time for it. Again, thanks for the suggestion tho.

 

yup sounds like unless you had comp on the car ,you may have to junk it ,i would take everything off you can keep. an junk the rest ,thats what insurance is for though comp cost me like $50.00 for 6 months during storage

 

wish you were closer. if color code is right, id be interested in some parts. i think mine is the darker gray

 

did the driver side head light survive? If so I'm interested in picking a few quick items before her Fate. I would gladly pay you of course.

 

I believe all lights are fine, but I'll double check and let you know as soon as I can.

Seeing as all the lights are good and the battery is brand new, I think at the very least I will be taking those out and selling them on my own before getting it towed out to a yard
