im not exactly new but here is the deal. i currently have a 4cylnder 97 eclipse turbo. it is my first car an i think is so much fun. but i been having a lil problems an now i blew the tranny so had to replace that & front end. i grew up with big v8s an exotic cars so now was thinking of getting a 6 speed camaro v8 of corse lol, and like the 90s body. i think i jus want the power an to be able to feel the car more, i think a camaro can help lol. so all in all i would like to do this but will prolly miss my little turbo and the sound of the blow off lmao. so please feel free to give advise thanx

 

when i went out to buy my first sports car I was looking at a 00 mustang GT, and a slightly modified 2g eclipse GS-T.

drove the eclipse first. the BOV was awesome sounding, and it felt pretty peppy, all in all a cool car and besides i liked the styling.

drove the mustang. felt torque attached to my foot for the first time. never looked back lol. I dont know of anyone driving a turbo eclipse that can outrun me that hasnt dropped way more money into that bucket.... and half the guys that can outrun me can hardly keep their cars running.

 

You will realy enjoy the feel of a v8, more solid that that 4banger. If you really want to there is a speaker system to get the BOV sound, but then you would be domestic rice and that is the worst kind.

 

I had my eye on a 2G Talon TSI before i bought my current 1G Eclipse GS (non-turb [>:])... I had the money and everything but the guy sold it...

 

You will not regret going from the 4G63 to a LT1 or LS1 car. I speak from experience

 

thanx for the tips. i think im going to do the transfer but the gst is also my first car and will miss it =( but like ive heard once i hit the pedal of a v8 i wont look back lol. anoter problem is im not finding very many camaros with the v8 near me, most are the 6 but ill keep my eye open

 

I agree.. i went from an LT1 to a 4G63A and hate it...

 

get the 4 banger,save gas and help the environment
