Default 2022 SS Convertible holds water in the trunk lid hinge area.

Our 2022 Red Hot II SS convertible holds water in the wells where the trunk hinges recess. Is there supposed to be a drain in these locations?
I need to towel the water out each time I wash the car...

I was waiting to see if any who own the same car answer but since they have not. I have own several rag tops and I even replaced one once. There should be a gutter around where the canvas meets the body. that will drain down to the road through a hose. The only time I have seen the back part fill up there was a leak in the window. The windows are normally hot sealed. I could see that getting messed up in manufacturing. That area also sees a lot of pulling stress when the top locks. I assume this is under warranty?

Default Thank you. That is not the convertible top water problem.

The water is gathering in the recess where the trunk hinges swing out and up from the inner fender structure . The trunk is sealed with a rubber gasket so water does not get into the trunk. it just collects in the hinge voids on both side under the rear cowl. I'll try to load a photo soon.

I would take it to the dealer since it's a new car and should be under warranty.

Air and water leaks are some of the biggest pains to fix on a new car. At least with an older car you know that at one point it sealed. The issue is with a new car it can be almost anything. From something not installed right all the way to a crack from when the shell was formed.

Yeah, that's probably the best bet.
I already have a warranty gripe about the drivers side door leak that the Chevy Dealer had to order an entire door gasket set. Should be in next week. I'll show them this issue when I take it in.
Thanks.
