Default 2000 Camaro, my first car

So yah after couple months of working I finally got my first car! I decided to get a Camaro, ended up getting it for under $2,000! I had to fix couple minor things on it (got new headlights and etc), but it runs great. I'm looking to touch up the paint job and fix couple other things (some scratches and dents) and happy to be part of a Camaro community!

opinions? thoughts on what I should do to it?

Nice 1st Car!! Mine was a piece of junk mustang that I gave $250 for. I had to work on it everytime I drove it, guess thats why I'm a Camaro Guy! Welcome to the Forum! Enjoy your new ride, it looks like a cool ride.

sorry, I missed your question about thoughts on what you should do to it. Definately wheels... thats a given but you've got to get a cool hood, grill insert and a rear spoiler then your on your way! Enjoy.

Ebay would probably be the cheapest. I don't think I would skimp out when buying a hood though. Most the cheaper ones have fitment problems that will cost even more to get fixed.I would go 17' or 18' with the wheels. Welcome to the forums.

I wouldnt go bigger than 18's. Then again I'm really on the 1st Gen side of the spectrum... I'm still rolling on 17" TT2's and they suck! But they shine and are still better than stock. Anyway, 02StanGT is right, cheaper is definately not good on a hood. I'd bet you will have to spend between $400-$600 on a good one. As far as Manufacturers go, I dont know on the newer camaros because I think they are all fiberglass, everything I buy is Steel which is Goodmark or Dynacorn. If I were you I'd start a New Post in the 4th Gen section, those guys will help you out big time, there are some seriously fine 4th gens on this site! Good Luck, youre off to a good start with that car.

Yep, thats my 69. It had a little Carb Fire when I got it last Nov hence the "before the blaze" tag. You can go to the 1st gen section on about the second page look for a post called "Finally got a 69 and I stole it", there you will see the story behind it and all my progress. you have to click on the thumbs on my first few post, it was before I learned how to actually put pictures in the post. Its a nice car, hopefully I'll have it finished soon. I just gotta shove the motor back in it and re-do the interior. It's my dream car either way!!
