I jus put a new engine in an I had to delete the cat because it was full an I didn't have the cash to replace it. Now I have good crusing power but only bout half what I should have would I need a whole re tune or what lol plz help me guys

 

Did you replace the stock exhaust manifolds? What are you running for pipes and muffler?

If not, get headers and a cat.
you won't be sorry.

 

No there should be no retune required, you may get and check engine light for cat inefficiency but that is a secondary error that should not effect the performance. Headers are a nice upgrade on a 97. The stock manifold are restrictive but if there is something else wrong that will need addressed before any upgrade should be attempted.
